Thank you for choosing Watch Dog Pet Sitting. Our mission is to provide the best personalized service for you and your pets.
If additional vacation visits are needed clients must call (630)554-4841 to be routed to the on call cell phone. Watch Dog Pet Sitting is only responsible for visits listed on the visit confirmation sent to all clients. An additional confirmation will be sent for any alterations.
We understand sometimes emergencies do arise but please give us 1 week notice for service to be rendered. Feel free to inquire about last minute services but availability is based on a first-come first-serve basis. The more notice we have the better the chances are of securing the dates you require. (For holidays we ask that you contact us 3 weeks in advance.).
SERVICE RATES are based on your pets needs, and are subject to change.
Payments - Please make checks payable to Watch Dog Pet Sitting or The Pooper Scoopers, Inc. New clients are required to make full payment at contract signing. Repeat customers can call to arrange time and dates then just leave a check for the full balance on the countertop, leave a credit card on file, or pay via email invoice.
Holidays - There will be an additional 25% fee added to the regular price for the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.
Please remember to leave more than an adequate amount of food, litter, treats, leashes, etc for your pets needs. There will be a $10.00 fee in addition to expenses incurred if Watch Dog Pet Sitting needs to pick up supplies for your pet.
ADDITIONAL TIME CHARGES- In the event that extra time is spent cleaning up after your pet, or we need to transport your pet to the veterinarian for emergency medical care, there will be a $25.00 per hour fee added to your bill.
Return Check Charge- Client agrees to pay $25.00 fee for each check returned by the client’s bank.
Key Pick Up and Return Policy-Watch Dog Pet Sitting will retain 2 copies of your key, or one key and a garage code, at the time of contract signing. Your key will be returned at your request. A $5 fee will be charged for both pick up and return of your key ifWatch Dog Pet Sitting doesn’t have your key on file. Due to insurance requirements we can not pick-up or leave a key under your mat or hidden outside your residence.
Visit times - Every effort will be made to schedule visits at approximately the same time apart. If there is a need to schedule a specific time for your pets, please discuss this with Watch Dog Pet Sitting.
For a vacation scheduled with 3 visits per day, morning visits are between 5:00 am and 7:00 am, late midday visits are between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, and bedtime visits are between 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm.
For a vacation scheduled with 4 visits per day, morning visits are between 5:00 am and 7:00 am, mid-day visits are between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, dinner visits are between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, and bedtime visits are between 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm.
For security reasons, please notifyWatch Dog Pet Sitting of anyone having keys to your home. Watch Dog Pet Sitting will not be held responsible for any damages incurred to your home or pet(s) by other persons on your property.
Unsecured pets- Watch Dog Pet Sitting will not be held liable for free-roaming outdoor pet(s) (i.e. cats) in the event of illness, injury, loss or death. It is strongly advised that all pets wear an ID tag with a contact number and that they will remain inside the home or confined for their own safety and welfare in your absence.
Secured Areas- it is the pet owner’s sole responsibility to pet-proof any areas of the home and/or property to which the pet(s) has access. This includes thoroughly inspecting fences, gates, latches, doors and other devices meant to keep pet(s) inside of or away from any areas your pet is not allowed access. Watch Dog Pet Sitting is not liable for any injuries pet(s) may sustain while in its own home/property.
Cancellation Policy. We require 12 hours notice to cancel an appointment. All charges apply to all appointments cancelled within 12 hours.
1 The client hereby agrees and acknowledges that they shall indeminfy and hold The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., harmless from any and all damages that might result from the services and actions provided by The Pooper Scoopers, Inc.
2.The client hereby agrees and acknowledges that they are hereby waiving, forfeiting and releasing all claims, rights, demands or causes of action that Client may currently have, or that may arise in the future and that relate to the services and actions of The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., as against The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., whether sounding in Contract, Tort or otherwise.
3. Client hereby fully and forever releases and discharges The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., their insurers, servants, employees, agents, predecessors, successors, affiliated entities, assigns, heirs, administrators and executors, from any and all claims, causes of action, administrative or board actions, or causes of action arising from or based upon the provision of services and/or actions of The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., their agents and assigns, including but not limited to, any administrative proceedings, as well as those
causes of action and claims based in Tort, Contract, or otherwise, and whether for pecuniary or non-pecuniary loss/disadvantage, injuries to property or person, damages or losses of any kind whatsoever stemming directly or indirectly, or from any actions
arising from, or occurring as a result of the services and actions of The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., thier agents or assigns, to or on behalf of Client.
4.Client hereby agrees and acknowledges that they shall be liable for any and all attorneys fees, court costs and expenses incurred by The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., to collect upon, and/or secure any debt that is due and owing by Client to The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., including but not limited to, filing fees, preparation fees, attorneys fees, search fees, court costs, litigation fees, and any other costs or expenses reasonably related to the acts or actions of collection commenced by The Pooper Scoopers, Inc. against Client.
Furthermore, Client hereby agrees and acknowledges that they shall be liable for all attorneys fees, and costs incurred by The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., to defend any action commenced by or on behalf of the Client against The Pooper Scoopers, Inc., with said
fees payable despite any finding of liablity on behalf of The Pooper Scoopers, Inc.,
The Legal Stuff
Client authorizes Watch Dog Pet Sitting to accept telephone reservations for pet sitting services and to enter Client’s premises without additional written authorization. In the event Client shall return to their residence, earlier than contracted for, Client must notify Watch Dog Pet Sitting 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for additional visits. If the Client fails to notify Watch Dog Pet Sitting of their earlier return, Client shall be charged one additional 24 hour pet sitting period. If a Client extends their trip beyond that originally agreed upon, and Client requires additional visits, Watch Dog Pet Sitting must be notified of the specific number of additional visits needed. Any and all additional fees incurred for extra pet sitting visits, shall be paid immediately upon Client’s return.
Client authorizes Watch Dog Pet Sitting to perform pet care services outlined on the “Pet Information Sheet” which Pet Information Sheet is attached hereto and incorporated herein as this paragraph 2, and which shall become part of this agreement. Watch Dog Pet Sitting is authorized to seek all reasonable emergency veterinary care for Client’s pet(s) that are the subject of this Agreement. Client agrees and acknowledges that Watch Dog Pet Sitting shall be and is hereby released from and indemnified against, any and all financial liabilities related to transportation, treatment, and expense for said veterinary care. In the event of an emergency arising that requires application of veterinary care that involves Client’s pet(s), and the Client’s specified veterinarian is unavailable for immediate care, Client agrees, acknowledges and authorizes Watch Dog Pet Sitting to seek other or additional medical and/or emergency treatment (excluding euthanasia), at the sole discretion and determination of Watch Dog Pet Sitting. Client shall reimburse Watch Dog Pet Sitting for any and all expenses incurred for any veterinary care provided to or for the benefit of Client’s pet(s), regardless of the reasonability of said expenses and costs, in addition to Client tendering a reasonable hourly rate of pay($9.50 per hour), for all time extended by Watch Dog Pet Sitting, for obtaining said care, and all other usual and customary fees for attending to the veterinary or medical care needed for Client’s pet.
In the event of inclement weather or natural disaster occurring during the period of time governed by this Agreement, Watch Dog Pet Sitting is expressly authorized to use its best judgment in rendering services called for herein, and caring for Client’s pet(s). Client shall hold Watch Dog Pet Sitting harmless and shall indemnify Watch Dog Pet Sitting against any loss resulting from the actions taken by Watch Dog Pet Sitting, whether Client deems same reasonable or not.
Watch Dog Pet Sitting, its employees and independent contractors, agree to provide the services stated in this contract in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner.
Client hereby expressly agrees and acknowledges that they waive, forfeit and relinquish any and all civil or administrative causes of action, claims, lawsuits, and all other civil remedies available to Client, as against Watch Dog Pet Sitting and its agents, in relation to or pertaining to the services provided by Watch Dog Pet Sitting pursuant to the terms, conditions and stipulations of this Agreement, except for those causes of action arising out of gross negligence or willful and wanton misconduct on the part of the pet sitter. Said waiver of liability is effective without further notice, and shall be in effect for the duration of the pet sitting services called for under this Agreement, or any modification thereof.
Any additional fees charged for extra/additional visits made or services performed by Watch Dog Pet Sitting, shall be paid at a rate to be exclusively determined by Watch Dog Pet Sitting. Client(s) may be notified of any rate changes prior to any new bookings by mail, phone, or email as Watch Dog Pet Sitting deems appropriate.
All payments called for hereunder, shall be paid in full prior to any provision of services required hereunder. Payment(s) can be tendered by cash, credit, money order or cashiers check, and shall be deposited in the possession of Watch Dog Pet Sitting prior to the first scheduled visit, and/or shall be left by Client on the kitchen counter of Client’s residence, for pickup on the first day of each scheduled visit thereafter.
Client understands and agrees that in the event it is necessary for Watch Dog Pet Sitting to initiate any collection proceedings as a result of the Client(s) failure or inability to tender payments called for hereunder, Client shall be liable for all court costs, attorneys fees, service fees, and other expenses incurred by Watch Dog Pet Sitting. Client further understands and agrees that if Client tenders any form of payment for services rendered, and said payment is cancelled, refused, bounced or otherwise deemed insufficient, including insufficient checks, Client shall immediately tender to Watch Dog Pet Sitting, an additional fee of $50.00 per check, which fee shall not limit or exclude any other remedy available to Watch Dog Pet Sitting.
Client understands and agrees that Watch Dog Pet Sitting shall not be held responsible for any damage to Client’s real or personal property, or that of any other third party or entity that is caused by Client’s pet(s), and/or the actions of the pet sitter assigned to perform sitting services. The utmost of care will be given to Client’s pets(s) and Client’s home, however, due to the extreme unpredictability of animals, Watch Dog Pet Sitting shall not be responsible for any mishaps, injuries, damage, or destruction, whether ordinary, extraordinary or unusual in nature, including but not limited to, carpet/floor stains and/or damage, furniture stains and/or damage, destruction of any household goods, damage, death, destruction or injury of Client’s pet, and/or the pets of any third parties. Please Note: Watch Dog Pet Sitting cannot be held liable for injury, disappearance, or death of any pet(s) that are left outside unattended at CLIENT’S request. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure all fences and gates are in good working order and “escape proof” for all dogs. Client expressly agrees and acknowledges that if Client(s) pet is injured during a pet sitting period, that client hereby waives, forfeits and refuses Client’s right to bring any legal, administrative or other action against Watch Dog Pet Sitting.
Watch Dog Pet Sittings liability and dishonesty bond coverage shall not be in effect, nor cover Client or third parties, if other third parties are allowed inside the Client’s home at any time during the period Watch Dog Pet Sitting is providing services, whether Watch Dog Pet Sitting is present, and in no event shall Watch Dog Pet Sitting be responsible for Client’s pets, property or belongings.
Client agrees that all pets are to have current vaccinations and licenses. Client expressly agrees and acknowledges that Client shall be solely liable for and shall pay, all costs and expenses incurred by any pet sitter and/or Watch Dog Pet Sitting employee performing services called for hereunder, if same is bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment from Client’s pet(s). If a dog has ever bitten or attack a human or other animal, Watch Dog Pet Sitting reserves the right to refuse services.
During excessively busy times, such as holidays or in the event of personal emergency or illness Client authorizes Watch Dog Pet Sitting to arrange for another qualified person to provide the services set forth in this contract. Client will be notified in such a case.
Watch Dog Pet Sitting reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time before or during its term if Watch Dog Pet Sitting, in its sole discretion, determines that danger exists to the pets or any third parties health or safety. If concerns prohibit Watch Dog Pet Sitting from caring for a pet, Client authorizes pet(s) to be placed in a kennel at Client’s sole expense.
This Agreement was signed, sealed and delivered in DuPage County, and DuPage County, State of Illinois, shall be the only venue in which litigation action can be taken in relation to this Agreement.
